April Favourites

17:09

I didn't struggle as much this month to last month in terms of coming up with some favourites, still a little and they're basically all drugstore. That's pretty epic for me.

Also sorry it's been so long, work life and home life have been crazy and I'm really struggling to find to put on makeup, let alone post!

I'll cut the ramble short this month, so let's dive right in!

I picked this up a while ago, on a bit of a whim, probably an offer at Seventeen and I thought, what the hell.
Oh my God, I am so in love with this lipstick. The finish, it gives a nice shine, but doesn't move around to much, the pigmentation, it's not too heavy but definitely give enough colour, and the colour, I wouldn't say 'Barely Blush' it's more pink that that, but it's just gorgeous.
I really like the Sepreme Shine lipsticks, but they do vary quite a lot in finish and pigmentation. There are also a lot of very bold colours and quite similar shades. I do wish they had a few more in the light end of the scale as this one is such a winner. It's fast becoming one of my favourite lipsticks.

I currently have three of these, Creamy Beige, On and On Bronze and Pink Gold. I've been reaching for Pink Gold the most recently, when I want a little something something on my eyes, but going full on with eyeshadow (the primer, the brushes, the palettes) is just a bit too much effort. I just warm a bit up on my finger and swipe it over my eyelids.
I definitely think I could expand my collection

New Foundations

I've bought two new foundations in the last month, what? NARS Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc, which I had been lusting after for ages and have been using quite a lot. And Estée Lauder Double Wear Light in Intensity 1.0, which I bought on a whim to get £5 worth of points at Debenhams (or something like that!). I do really like the Double Wear though, it certainly does stay in place! But it does show my pores like nothing else I've ever seen, so I need to look at getting some sort of pore minimizing primer, any suggestions?

I got a sample of this at the same time as I got a sample of the Double Wear Light. I have really been enjoying my sample, I think that it makes my makeup go on my face really nicely (rather than when it feels like it's just sitting on top of my skin) and also keeps it put too.
Seriously considering buying the full size.

I picked this up pre-holiday as my lips were as dry as anything, I couldn't even wear lipstick, which pained me hugely! Someone at work, who has her own skincare company on the side, told me what to avoid (minerals and petrolum I think) and this Boots one, that cost a mere £1, was the one that had the simplest ingredients. A day of using it and my lips were resqued. So I love this stuff, highly recommended!

Hopefully next months will be more exciting as it will have lots more of my new stuff in it!
