Is it that time already? I feel like March has passed in a blink of an eye.

March Favourites
I've grouped these posts together this month, for some reason there's not much that's really stood out for me as absolutely loving using this month. I think I've spent too long pining over new makeup.

Morphe Brushes
I did a little order from Beauty Bay as a birthday present for myself, I've only used these a few times so far, but I am really loving these brushes!
I got the M439 Deluxe Buffer Brush as it was recommended by EVERYONE (but Jaclyn Hill sold me on it first) and I am in LOVE. It's just so fat and dense and soft, amazing for foundation.
I also got MB35 Angled Contour Brush because I couldn't get the E4 Angled Contour Brush at Beauty Bay and I wanted an angled blush brush. It is so lovely for blush and it just puts a little on the skin so you can built it up, rather than my usual packing technique!
And the M335 Chubby Buffer Brush, which is sort of like a small M439, on Manny MUA's recommendation, it blends my under eye concealer like a dream!

The Internet
Crazy eh? But we had been without the internet since we moved into our new flat, 4 months ago...4 MONTHS! It's been awful. We finally got internet in late March and I basically haven't looked up from my phone since. But I have been LOVING getting back on Instagram and catching up on Youtube videos. I've had a bit of a binge on Kathleen Lights recently, love her.

I think I've been spending too much time looking at other makeup that I want and so I haven't actually enjoying the makeup I have. Which is probably bad, but I think I just feel like a change, a bit of a refresh. For example my lipsticks, I've been wearing all my light pinks etc. recently, I'm not in the mood for darker shades now that we're coming into spring and I'm not feeling the pinks right now...
Always wishing for more!

April Wishlist
Now I shouldn't really have an April Wishlist considering that I'm off to Canada and America this month and I have a HUGE wishlist for there already...but you know me...

Zoeva Palettes

Cocoa Blend Palette

Rose Golden Palette

Rose Golden Blush Palette

All available from Beauty Bay, however I think the Rose Golden Blush Palette is sold out, so I might have to consider buying from Zoeva directly. These all look so amazingly gorgeous, and if you put Rose Gold(en) in the name then I'm on board.

Bareminerals READY Color Boost in The Stolen Heart
This is Limited Edition, has gold packaging AND looks beautiful. I've seen mixed review, but my mind is already made up that I want this!

Bareminerals READY Color Boost in The Stolen Heart

Benefit Hoola Bronzing and Contouring Brush
What is NOT to love about this brush, it is just so gorgeous. As soon as I saw it on the Benefit instagram I new that it had to be mine!

Benefit Hoola Bronzing and Contouring Brush

Feel Unique currently have 20% off BareMinerals and 15% off Benefit at the moment...so I could get all of these reduced! Plus I have £5 off for my birthday...

Too Faced Palettes

Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection

Natural Eye Shadow Collection

I feel like these are just good staples to have and definitely the first Too Faced palettes I'd like to get, well that they have  in the UK! I'm hoping to pick up the Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Collection, the Peanut Butter and Jelly Eye Shadow Collection and the Love Flush Blush Wardrobe in Canada/America!

MAC Lipstick in Coral Bliss
I feel like this is the sort of shade I want to get to mix up my lipsticks a bit, a nice bright, but subtle colour for summer. It's also a Creamsheen, so it would be a breakaway from my standard satin and matte MAC shades.

MAC Lipstick in Coral Bliss

NARS Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc
I finally got matched and got a sample from Space NK, it was barely enough for two days, but I loved it as soon as I got it on! I've tried samples of the Charlotte Tilbury foundations recently and I just did not like them, they felt dry and had a smell that I didn't enjoy. I've tried the New YSL Riche Eclat formula and it's good, but I loved sheer glow as soon as it hit my skin! Maybe I was just so desperate to like it that I've completely ignored anything wrong with it.
I will definitely be getting this before holiday so I can wear it whilst I'm away.

NARS Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc

I feel like there is a LOT of palettes in this. Which is silly, I have quite a lot of palettes already and I don't use them all that much. But eyeshadow palettes are just SO pretty.

I spent a lot of my weekend looking at the Benefit Box O' Blushes in Dandelion and Coralista. I've wanted Dandelion for a while and whilst browsing I thought that maybe I should consider getting Coralista too as a nice spring/summer blush.

I got a few email offers through over the weekend and I kept adding them to my basket in various stores, but decided not to go through with it. I mean I have a lot of blushes on my Canada/US Wishlist anyway.

Then this morning my Bloglovin puts Miss Makeup Magpie's March Lust List in front of me. Low and behold, the new Benefit Cheekathon Palette. A new palette with 5 full sized blushes and bronzers, including Dandelion and Coralista.

I had a quick look online, it's not available to buy on the Benefit website yet, but it is available at House of Fraser and it's exclusive to them. Cue opening the House of Fraser website on an extra tab and work and constantly flicking back to it all morning to stare at it...

At lunchtime I decided to go to House of Fraser, with the intention of just looking at each of the products in the palette (Dandelion, Hoola, Rockateur, Dallas & Coralista) so I could decide if I should get it. I should also add that I had a bit of a crappy weekend and this morning at work wasn't great either, and so I thought to myself that if I liked the individual elements then maybe I should order it online in the afternoon. A pick me up.

Did I mention that it was 5 full sized products for a mere £44.50? The cost of each Box O' Blush is £23.50, so if I'd bought Dandelion and Coralista it would have cost me more than the palette. And you're saving a massive £73 compared to buying each of them separately.

Anyway, back to House of Fraser, I tried to get near the blushes, but couldn't. The lunchtime rush. One of the girls on the counter came to offer her help and I said I wanted to look at the blushes, low and behold she whips out the very palette I spent all morning staring at online.

It only took her a few minutes to seal the deal and I walked away £44.50 lighter and 1 very good value palette heavier...

First impressions...*insert heart eyed emoji here*

It's lovely, study cardboard and cute packaging. It's also quite slim, so good to carry round, much slimmer that the Box O' Blush boxes.

And I love how you still get the design on the Rockateur blush.

Thumbs up over all, I can't wait to crack it open properly!

Sorry for the poor quality photos, I snapped them on my iPhone when I got back to the office at the end of lunch.
I just wanted to share as soon as possible!

Temptation
Now I am the sort of person who is tempted easily, by anything. Show me something, anything (pretty) and leave it under my nose, and it doesn't take long for it to be a must have item for me.
It's basically a complete disaster and it means that I see something, start thinking about it and then don't stop thinking about it until I buy it. It's basically why a lot of my obsessions start I think, I'm very easily swayed - an advertisers dream.
Maybe I need to work on that...

Justification
I saw a post on the Temptalia Community recently that was titled How do you justify your makeup purchases? The first response basically covered all points and loosely translates to this:

1.) Will I get a lot of use out of this product?
2.) Do I truly love or need it?
3.) Will it cripple me financially?
4.) How unique is it? Is it Limited Edition?
5.) How well did it review?

This is basically THE perfect way to work out whether you should buy something.

A couple of Mondays ago, I needed a pick me up as I was feeling a little down.
I ordered the YSL Poudre Compact Radiance Powder in Shade 01 Universelle (longest name ever) that was on my February Wishlist...oh dear. My justification at the time was that I felt down and wanted to buy myself something, mainly because my Dad would have bought it for me without a second thought.

YSL Poudre Compact Radiance Powder in Shade 01 Universelle

But I thought it would be interesting to see if I could justify it using those rules.

I have been VERY bad this month and have ordered nearly all the items on my February Wishlist, plus about 1000 other things. Last week, after what seemed like a VERY long wait over the weekend, I finally picked up my Sleek MakeUP order from Superdrug.

I couldn't really get into the products once I got home mainly as the husband certainly does not approve of more makeup purchases. Since then I have kept meaning to take photos and swatches, but I can never get any light!! It's too dark before work, and how ever would I find the time in the morning? And it's dark by the time I get home, so finally this weekend I managed to get some natural light photos - although it was still a struggle, damn this British weather!

Following on from that moan, I apologise for the mish mash of pictures. I took some one evening under our bedroom lights and some in natural light and completed failed to check that I had everything I needed in natural light...so yeah...mixing it up.
Also problems with shiny packaging is that they act like a bloody mirror! So excuse the unintentional selfies (I already had to get rid of a great photo because I had a duck face in it).

Solstice Highlighting Palette : Precious Metals Highlighting Palette Rose Gold Blush

Solstice Highlighting Palette : Precious Metals Highlighting Palette Rose Gold Blush

The morning after I picked them up I cracked them open at my desk and got to properly lay my eyes on them! Since then I've swatched the highlights (oh my) and I've worn the blush.

Blush in Rose Gold
The packaging is very nice, it looks as you would expect from the brand - sleek. It's matte, black and good and sturdy, with a good sized mirror...although I was pretty hard to open it the first time, I even googled and found that other people had the same problem. On the other hand, plus points, it shouldn't pop open in my makeup bag! Once I finally got the darn thing open, I managed to get a peek inside. Now I'm not going to lie, I found the colour in the pan to be slightly terrifying, it looks VERY orange-y pink.

Sleek Blush in Rose Gold

I've worn it, putting it on with the Real Techniques Blush Brush (I looooove this brush) and it goes on very sheer. It does take a little bit of building up to see and I couldn't get as much on as I usually would (PACK IT ON), but it left a gorgeous glowy flush on my cheeks which I loved.
I swatched it, it took a few swipes to build up to this intensity, but it's gorgeous.

Rose Gold Blush

So far I'm really happy with it, and for £4.49, who can argue! I will definitely be looking at buying some more of these.

Precious Metals Highlighting Palette
Starting with the packaging again, it certainly looks very pretty, a sort of shiny gunmetal colour, but it does smudge A LOT, mine is already covered in marks - I had to clean it to take photos. The palette isn't too bulky, good to cart around (as if I need to carry more makeup with me) and maybe not as study as the blush, but still pretty good. Much easier to open and it has a magnetic closure, fancy (I'm sure it's not really, but I'm a fan!)
When you open it, OH. MY. GOD. those highlighters sparkle up at you - they're calling my name!

Precious Metals Highlighting Palette

 Clockwise the shades are:
Platinum - cream highlight, this is quite pearlscent and it is just gorgeous!
Royal Gold - a very bright, shimmery gold
Renaissance Gold -very similar to Royal Gold in colour, but slightly more subtle in it's shimmer
Antique Bronze - the only powder of the palette, a warm bronze

Clockwise: Platinum, Royal Gold, Renaissance Gold, Antique Bronze

I didn't think I'd like that this had so many cream formulas in it, but they are just SO creamy, I love them.

L-R: Platinum, Royal Gold, Renaissance Gold, Antique Bronze

Solstice Highlighting Palette
This one...the packaging is hot on trend being rose gold, a reason in itself to buy it, maybe it's more on the bronze side (but rose gold = bronze - no?), but so lovely either way you look at it. Like the Precious Metals it certainly attracts finger prints and smudges. And same packaging style, fairly study, good size, magnetic closure.
Pop that bad boy open and that highlight!! I was put off this when I first saw it online, I mean what is that purple shade? But in reality it is just so gorgeous, the highlighters in the pans are just SO. DAMN. PRETTY.

Solstice Highlighting Palette

Clockwise the shades are:
Ecliptic – a warm pink colour, the only cream highlighter in the palette, I'm a little sad after how creamy the Precious Metals ones are
Hemisphere – THE PURPLE ONE, soz I can't get over that! This is one of the baked highlights, it really is a lovely colour, a light purple colours and I'm very keen to test this out!
Subsolar – a pale, slightly yellow shimmer powder
Equinox – a bronze-y, slightly orangy colour, another baked one

Clockwise: Ecliptic, Hemisphere, Subsolar, Equinox

This palette definitely has some colours that I wouldn't have usually picked, but they are just so gorgoues that I couldn't resist. Looking forward to experimenting and worse comes to the worse, I've got an eyeshadow palette!

L-R: Ecliptic, Hemisphere, Subsolar, Equinox

I know I totally ignored that both palettes have a brush in them, but I HATE brushes that come with palettes, I never, ever use them.

So there you have it, I'm yet to wear the Highlighter Palettes, so I will get back to you on that.
Overall a definite success, I'm really, so happy that I had a naughty splurage and bought these.
Even if it's just cause they look so pretty.

Another note, after having a bit of a swatch party (hello ALL my blushes) I feel like maybe I should just swatch makeup onto my hand each morning so I can look at how pretty it is throughout the day, ha.

It's been less than a week since we booked our trip to Toronto as our Honeymoon Part 2, and I've already been working on my makeup wishlist.
Ermmmmmm, who am I kidding? I had this list on the go before we'd even confirmed the trip!
And just in case you wondered, Honeymoon Part 1 was a week in Cape Verde, that was out relaxing part and now part 2 is our out and about Honeymoon!

There are two Sephora stores in Toronto, and whilst I know that the Canadian branches don't carry as much as the US ones, I am still DAMN excited to get there and give them my money.
I'm also hoping that we'll pop across the border to Buffalo, NY where I have found 3 Ulta stores...and we're going to Niagara Falls anyway, so hardly any distance more and totally justified?
Those LORAC Unzipped Palettes WILL be mine.

BECCA
Shimmering Skin Perfector
Now obviously Champagne Pop is first on my list, my GOD do I want to get my grubby little paws on that! I'd like to swatch some of the others before I buy them to decide which I like the most. Maybe Opal or Moonstone? It definitely needs to be one for pale skin to suit my ghost like complexion.
And then do I go pressed or poured? Someone help me with all these questions!!

Same as with the BECCA products, I'd like to swatch these first, but I'm thinking that the palette is a good start and maybe one (or two) more shades. These are all SO MUCH cheaper than in the UK!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick (@hippiesandlippies)

Kat Von D
Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
I'm stuck between a few different options and to make things worse I've never used a liquid lipstick before! But I have just ordered a NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream to try out. I'm thinking Lovesick or Double Dare or do I go for the cult classics Lolita or Lolita II?

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush (@hippiesandlippies)

Tarte
Tartiest Lip Paint
For someone who's never used a liquid lipstick before, I do love 'em! Fomo or TBT?
Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush
I WANT NOW!! I am so excited to be able to get some of these bad boys! My wishlist here is pretty long, but I feel that Blushing Bride, Dollface and Dazzled are a must and then I might pick a few from Charisma, Captivating, Blissful, Gilsten, Fearless and Exposed.

LORAC (from Ulta in the US)

These are one of the top items on my list. They are so amazingly pretty.

We do have Too Faced in the UK, but not this blush set. And I'm really feeling the need to expand my blush collection.
